Top Tier Direct Sales – An Excellent Model For A Home Based Business 79 million North Americans (according to Forbes Magazine) plan to start their own business in the next three years. This is great news for those of us who make our living with a home business. Online home based businesses are relatively cheap to start. The companies willing to be patient as you learn the ropes and the good ones will go out of their way to provide you with training and support to get you going. My favorite business model is top tier direct sales and there are solid reasons for this. Top tier direct sales companies usually have only two or three products. The entry costs are substantially higher than those of traditional MLM’s but the compensation models are vastly superior. The attrition rate in MLM’s is ridiculous but if you can find a legitimate top tier direct sales company with stand alone products, you don’t have to recruit 5000 people to make a nickel. In a nutshell, this means you have a much greater chance of being extremely lucrative with top tier direct sales as opposed to an MLM. It certainly wasn’t always like this. A few years ago, when someone told you they had a home based business you probably cringed and waited for the either the inevitable sales pitch for everything from vitamins to long distance phone cards or a pitch to join their business with the promise of millions to be made. The truth was the industry had a somewhat seedy reputation to say the least. That perception is changing rapidly the internet is the main reason. The word wide web has made it possible to market your products and your business opportunities to the masses and while there are the expected assortment of lowlifes, reputable companies and their business opportunities are now there for those who do their homework.
